Resources for certified OptiHealth Sports Instructors

As a certified OptiHealth Community Advocate, your objective is to recruit as many Participants and Partners into the OptiHealth Research Network as possible.
When attempting "Cold Visits" using the outlines below, but you're not able to speak with the intended contact, be sure to leave behind an OptiHealth Research Flier, along with your OptiHealth Business Card. Also, try to get a day/time that would be better, and attempt a re-visit as soon as possible.
To recruit Research Participants, follow the process outlined below:
  • Get as many people as possible to tell you as much as possible about their health.
  • Be alert to any messages that infer a perceived need to develop a healthier lifestyle.
  • Encourage them by giving your testimony regarding the process and benefits of your personal, therapeutic lifestyle change.
  • Ask "point-blank" if they are interested in developing a healthier lifestyle, i.e., if they are thinking they should "Make some changes," "Get some exercise," or "Lose some weight," etc.
  • Inform them regarding your qualifications as a certified OptiHealth Community Advocate that helps people develop healthier lifestyles for free and give them your OptiHealth Business Card.
  • Explain that you are helping with a Research Project in which the volunteer participants get free Lifestyle Medicine Support Services, and that you will send them a link for information about it.
  • Get their Name and their Email address, so that you can follow-up with them.
  • After you get their contact information, offer to register them as a potential Research Participant (Do not register them without their consent), so that they'll get the information "automatically," and can then make their decision.
  • Before (or immediately after) they register, submit their information using the online Research Candidate form, so that you will be notified when they do register -- and get the referral and/or credit.
  • Follow-up with them within 24 hours by sending an email with a link to: www.OptiHealthResearch.com. (This website is also listed on your OptiHealth Business Card.)
  • Keep following-up every couple of days to see if they registered, or at least explored the website, or if they have any questions.
  • If they are reluctant to register "on their own," offer to conduct the free Baseline Assessment on them and/or invite them to a free, live OptiHealth Workshop -- with no obligation, either way.
  • If they have not registered and show diminishing interest after 3 or 4 discussions about the Research Project, drop the issue, but be alert to re-visit it, if/when they might be more likely to re-consider.
  • Whether they register or not, express your confidence in them to "make the changes that they want to achieve," and refer them to: www.OptiHealthPledge.com.
To recruit Research Partners, follow the process outlined below:
  • Get as many health/fitness professionals as possible to tell you as much as possible about their desire/need for more clients.
  • Be alert to any messages that infer a perceived need to develop a more "professional" image.
  • Encourage them by giving your testimony regarding the process and benefits of your certification as an OptiHealth Professional.
  • Ask "point-blank" if they are interested in developing a more professional career, i.e., if they are thinking they should "get certified," "expand the scope of expertise," "enhance their public image," or "do more community outreach," etc.
  • Inform them regarding your qualifications as a certified OptiHealth Community Advocate that helps health/fitness professionals "cross-market" their services through the Optihealth Research Network" for practically free and give them your OptiHealth Business Card.
  • Explain that you are helping with a Research Project in which the volunteer participants get free Lifestyle Medicine Support Services, but that many of them become long-term paying clients.
  • Tell them you can send them a link for more information about it, and get their Name and Email address (or their Business Card).
  • After you get their contact information, offer to register them as a potential Research Partner (Do not register them without their consent), so that they'll get the information "automatically," and can then make their decision.
  • Before (or immediately after) they register, submit their information using the online Research Candidate form, so that you will be notified when they do register -- and get the credit.
  • Follow-up with them within 24 hours by sending an email with a link to: www.OptiHealthResearch.com. (This website is also listed on your OptiHealth Business Card.)
  • Keep following-up every couple of days to see if they registered, or at least explored the website, or if they have any questions.
  • If they have been "too busy to check it out," offer to review the website with them, right then and there, and to help them fill-out the Research Partner Application form -- with no obligation.
  • If they have not registered or show diminishing interest after 3 or 4 discussions about joining the Research Network, drop the issue, but be alert to re-visit it if/when they might be more likely to re-consider.
  • Whether they register or not, express your confidence in them to "develop the career that they want to have," and refer them to: www.OptiHealthPledge.com.
